I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor working in New York City, with an MA in psychology from the New School University and an MS. Ed in mental health counseling from Hunter College. My approach to psychotherapy integrates the many facets of my professional career - which have included positions in the corporate, academic, and educational sectors - with general life experience. In treating my patients, I draw on these diverse experiences, and this allows me to connect with, and relate to, people from all walks of life, irrespective of background, race, religion, or class. While I speak fluent Hungarian and conversational Yiddish, as well as English, what is of greater import to you, as a prospective patient, is that I speak your language - I can find a way to communicate with you that will allow you to feel heard, validated, and understood. I treat teenagers age 14 and up, adults, and couples. My areas of expertise include psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), DBT-informed mindfulness psychotherapy, sandplay therapy, career counseling, and narrative therapy, specifically through the use of journaling techniques.
